Vercors Plateau - Moucherotte (1901 m)
Moucherotte (1901 m) is the Eastern top of Vercors, but also most septentrional of the long peak which traverses the massif of north in the south, thus dominating Grenoble. Its slopes extend on the communes from Saint-Nizier-du-Moucherotte, Lans-en-Vercors, Seyssins and Claix. At the bottom of Moucherotte, one notices the rocks of the '3 pucelles', where were cut off the last resistant from the maquis from Saint-Nizier-du-Moucherotte.
At the time of the Winter Olympics of 1968, the test of the jump with ski was held on the springboard of 90 meters always in place on the northern buttress of Moucherotte. It is not used any more since the end of 1980.
