Nice is located in the extreme South-east of France at approximately 30 km of Italy in the region Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur and the department of the Alpes-Maritimes just beside the Mediterranean sea. It is the 5th town of France (approximately 950.000 inhabitants).
Nice is a very touristic city. It has a very sunny climate and a very long and splendid avenue which skirts the edge of sea `La Promenade des Anglais'. There are lot of public and private beaches. But attention, the beaches are not constituate whit sand, but consist of pebble which make difficult the bathe.The best is to provide itself plastic shoes.
Go to visit the old Nice (old streets of Nice) at the end of the `Promenade des Anglais’ just near the `Quai des Etats-Unis'. You will find the flower market, some churches, the theatre…
You will need several days to entirely visit the town of Nice.
