Autun is a town of 15000 inhabitants located in the region Burgundy in the department of Saône-et-Loire.
The town of Autun is crossed by Arroux an affluent of the river the Loire.
Autun was created during the empire Roman, more exactly under the reign of the emperor Augustus.
It is why Autun is known, for these many vestiges of the Roman time. Autun have the largest Roman theatre built in France. You could also admire the splendid cathedral Saint Lazare.
