Granier is a summit located in the French Alps, in Savoy, limiting to the North-East the Chartreuse mountains. It dominates the valley of Grésivaudan and the combe of Savoy of its face Est, and the 'cluse of Chambéry' with its majestic but tragic Northern face. Indeed, this cliff of almost 900 m in height, most of France says one, appeared in the night of the 24 at November 25, 1248, following a gigantic crumbling making disappear part of the mountain.
