Sappey-en-Chartreuse is a french 'commune', located in the department of Isere and the Rhone-Alps region.

The commune extends under cliffs from Chamechaude (2082m), the climax of the solid mass of Chartreuse.
The village has a modest ski resort with two skis-lift on the slopes of St Eynard.
