An Island in south Brittany :

A 6000 square meters island, a few hundred meters far from the sea-shore and sandbeaches, with a seventeen century small fort and a guest house.

Fort Bloqué is a magical place, emerged at a few hundred meters of the south coast of Brittany, on a 6000 square meters rocky island.

At high tide, the property is surrounded by the sea and becomes a mysterious and unique place. Sheltered from glances and wind, behind the ramparts which enclose the whole property, two buildings hide : the Castle and the Guest house.

Built in 1748, according to Vauban's style and used for military aims, during centuries, they are now, comfortable residences renovated with care and keeping their authenticity : big vaulted rooms (3,50 m high), granit walls, period furniture ...

Outside, the garden (3000 sqm.) and a big solarium-terrace (160 sqm) permit to enjoy the sea air and the open view on the ocean, the Brittany coast and a little further the island of Groix. A small private beach offers sun and sea. You can walk or drive to the castle when the tide is low. You can get in by a small drawbridge which is three centuries old.
