The museum of Louvre is the largest Parisian museum. Located in the middle of the town of Paris, between right bank of the Seine and the street of Rivoli, in Ier district, the building is an old royal palate. The equestrian statue of Louis XIV constitutes the starting point of the historical axis. It is one of the oldest museums and the larger third in the world.
It shelters one of the most famous tables in the world: Mona Lisa of Léonard de Vinci.
