Strasbourg is a city located in the East of France, on left bank of the Rhine. It is the chief town of Alsace and the department of the Bas-Rhin.
It is the seventh town of France and one of the only cities in the world whose center is entirely classified world inheritance of humanity by UNESCO. It is also one of the only cities, with Geneva and New York, to shelter the seat of international organizations (the Council of Europe since 1949, the European Parliament…) without being capital of a State.
